Galatians 5:16. So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
There is a new book out called, Quit Church, by Chris Sonksen. This book is definitely a good read, but the title is a little deceiving. I have heard many pastors picking up on this title and I can understand why.
I would encourage people to NOT quit church, but quit doing church in the “same ole same ole” way. We need church to first of all welcome the Holy Spirit to fill God’s people and refresh them in a new way. We need Him to bring “Life” back into our church services.
As Chris Sonken states in his book, we have become a church of spectators and pastoral staffs are getting burned out. And many Christians in church today do not believe the Bible to be the literal Word of God. If this is the case, then many are not following biblical principles for giving and for sharing their faith with others.
Chris states we should just then quit church – quit doing church that does not bring life. Quit church that does the same thing every week and has not invited the Holy Spirit to become a major player.
So I give Chris Sonken’s book, Quit Church, a big A+!! But I think I would change the name. Yes, I think I would have called it Quit Doing Church – Start Holy Spirit Living. Well it works for me!!

Works for me too very good
