For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. 2 Cor 9:9
Christmas is once again almost here. We seem to get caught up in all the preparations: decorations, shopping, wrapping, baking and Christmas cards. However, we need to remember and celebrate in our hearts the real meaning of Christmas – the birth of Jesus!
There is a show on television called, Undercover Boss. The owner of a company pretends to be a new employee so he or she can get to know their employees. They do this not just to see if these employees are good at their job, but to know their situations, and their families. Basically, he wants to know all about them! The owner then rewards their successes, and invests in their lives in many ways, such as helping with education, transportation and living conditions.
This is what the heavenly Father did for us! He sent His son Jesus to earth to get to know us, to love on us, teach us and reward us in so many ways!
Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords came to earth – to get to know each one of us in a very personal way. He came as a baby – small, gentle and helpless for you and for me!
Today, in the midst of your many preparations, in the midst of the parties and family gatherings, may we remember Jesus – for he is the Reason for this Holy Season!
Enjoy him, thank him and worship him – Jesus, king of Kings and our Lord of Lords!

The real reason for the season thank you Jesus
